I am not pretending to be holier than thou, I promise! But when I see someone, often many someones, receive Communion like they could not care less, or as if they have other, not so wonderful plans to desecrate the Host, my dander gets kicked up.
That’s God in our hands! That is how He is with us, always, until the end of time!
Decades ago, I moved to Los Angeles, California where the weather was more fair, ready to be a lawyer for which I had trained, but hoping to become a writer or radio broadcaster in which I had dabbled in college. The law and a steady income were more practical, but the tug of pure creativity never diminished. Another tug--of the soul--brought me back to my Catholic faith.
